DIY RENTAL BATHROOM UPGRADES

Hey guys what’s up it’s Laci and just because I’m not in my apartment anymore doesn’t mean I want to leave you guys hanging on the bathroom so I’ve come up with a little plan and I want to show you guys what I would have done in my apartment had I stayed there long enough to do it you guys seem to have really liked my rental kitchen upgrades video though I will leave that on a card here and I’m gonna show you guys today what I would have done in my apartment there is a lot of things that you can do in your bathroom to make it feel a little bit more luxurious and personalized and one of the things that I like to do is change out the shower head that’s just a little personal touch you can get as fancy as you want really with your shower heads it’s really easy just to take it off and put a new one on and what I would recommend is anything that you change out you want to put all of the old items in a box together that way when you move out you can put it back the original things that way you can get your security deposit back in my apartment I had a plastic cheap-looking towel hanger and I just replaced that with the medicine cabinet and although I couldn’t paint the apartment well technically I could paint the apartment because you just got to make sure you paint it back the original color before you move out what I didn’t want to deal with that but another option is to paint the inside of your medicine cabinet which I did here and here’s what my apartment bathroom looked like before and here’s what I would have been so I would have changed up the light and that’s pretty easy to do again take off the old one put it with all the old stuff or like the existing things and then when you move out you can put it back just changing out the lights and I would have trimmed out my mirror and this is really easy to do you can get some trim molding from Lowe’s or Menards or Home Depot or whatever you can even have it cut there to the size that you need and you just want to stick that on the mirror and it just frames it out and gives it more custom look I would also apply my peel-and-stick countertop that I used in my kitchen I would have used that here in the bathroom and then I would also apply some cabinet adhesive like I did in my kitchen on cabinets and this is what it would have looked like had I done all that stuff you guys can personalize it do whatever you want but these are some great inexpensive renter friendly products that you can use and things that you can do just to personalize it and make it feel like a luxurious bathroom that you completely customized how you want the peel-and-stick backsplash tile are also a really good option I didn’t really have a backsplash area in my bathroom but if you have an area above your sink in between your countertop and your mirror you could put some peel-and-stick backsplash there and another thing that you can do is you can change out your outlet cover so this just makes a big difference and it’s really inexpensive so those are my tips I hope that you guys like this video and I will see you guys in the next video bye guys
